Thankful for a day off - and a beautiful one to boot!

After a what seemed like a long week at work, today I had the day off.

What a beauty!

I awoke to a crisp and bright morning.

Knowing I was off to a Walktober, sponsored by The Last Green Valley (where I am a volunteer ranger), I was in high spirits!

This particular Walktober, held on a walking trail in Southbridge MA, was about the tornado that ripped through Southbridge in June of 2011.

The walk leaders and walkers were all excited, and also enjoyed nature's fall beauty today vs her previous wrath.

As I drove home through Woodstock, again the day struck me a purely beautiful. Sights everywhere.

Once home, to our new and almost completely rehabbed home sweet home, my thankfulness continued.

Am I a lucky gal, or what?

I am a Putnamaniac thankful for a beautiful day off!
