This blog is not about that sort of bud.
The buds I speak of today are the buds of the christmas cactus!
They are beginning to appear! Do you see buds on your plants yet??? Let me know!
This little beauty reminds me of all the great people I met when I lived in
Palmyra PA for a short time a few years back, since I purchased it there.
This big and ancient beauty (notice the impatiens that hitchhiked a ride in with this plant years ago) is actually 2 plants, given to me as little cuttings from my ex-husband's grandmother's grandmother's plants. Definitely an oldie, and both are spectacularly grand when they bloom at different times of the year!
I am a Putnamaniac that loves my buds ~ both plant AND people varieties!
