The last River Fire of the season was enjoyed this past Saturday night. It wound up at about 10:30 or so.
There were all sorts of people in attendance. Lots of people, gathered where food and drinks are welcomed, in the dark, generally lead to lots of garbage and a big mess when all is said and done.
However, once again the Putnam Parks & Rec Department did a top notch job.
My Sunday morning jog through the park at about 8am showed full trash can, but otherwise a spiffy looking park.
This evening, my 6pm jog through the park produced a pristine park.
I don't know how they do it. Not only do they arrange so many great activities, but they do the clean up afterwards. They do great work and make me proud to be a Putnamaniac.
I am a Putnamaniac because our Parks & Recreation Department is top notch!
