Don't you just always see something at the right time - to put things in perspective?
My knee would not cooperate this afternoon to allow that nice jog I expected.
My brain said "Bend, Ms. Knee", and my Knee replied "No, and if you make me bend, I will send shooting pain to you, Ms. Brain".
And just as I was being frustrated by a global struggle going on in my 51 year old body - with the left lower appendages (specifically left heel and left knee) attempting a coup of the current power in charge (my brain), I saw a sight to put me in my place.
As I drove home from the grocery store, I passed by a couple out for a walk. The woman was clearly handicapped, with one leg vastly shorter than the other. She had to hold the arm of her gentleman friend to walk. They were slowly going down the sidewalk, smiling, laughing, talking, and simply enjoying themselves.
Ms. Brain and Ms. Knee agreed to be thankful for each other and happily coexist within this old bod of mine.
I am a Putnamaniac who appreciates what she has and will not take it for granted!
