I'm having the time of my life...

So, I just caught the end of Dirty Dancing - that last great dance scene with Patrick Swayze's "Johnny Castle" and Jennifer Grey's "Baby Houseman" dancing it up.

Of course I fought back the tears...Dirty Dancing's last scene gets to me just like the National Anthem played at sporting events and parades, just like watching little kids' school performances, just like at weddings, just like when I see a little old man doing his grocery shopping all alone....these things and similar type things get to me and make me want to cry.

Then I started thinking about how music gets to us all. Just a few notes can take us back in time in a flash; for memories of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The song "I've had the time of my life" can apply to so many situations, and I really started thinking about how danged busy I've been lately - no time to write a quick blog, or even enjoy Putnam the way I love to. So this song really meant something to me tonight, more than ever. I dedicate it to Putnam!
You're the one thing
I can't get enough of
So I'll tell you something
This could be love because

I've had the time of my life
No I never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
Thanks for being such a great place Putnam!

I'm a Putnamaniac because I have the time of my life here, and plan to have many more good times!
