Man, it was a mucky, mushy, blucky, slushy day in the Quiet Corner.
After a few inches of snow early in the morn, we then got the predicted sleet, some rain, some more sleet, some more rain... mush and slush everywhere!
Driving was no fun, and I imagine that walking was much less fun. Walking a dog must be even worse, because the owner gets to stand in the weather and wait for Mr. or Ms. Fido to do their business. However we all grin and bear it and do what we must. We know the weather is quite fickle here. Good times and beautiful days are always around the corner.
The best sight of the dreary day was a pooch I spotted, much like this guy, with his head sticking out of his master's car as they drove by. Poochy was enjoying the sleet on his face like it was the best fun he's had in a dog's age!
It almost made me want to roll my window down and stick my head for a minute or two! Almost....
I am a Putnamaniac because the hounds know how to live it up in all weather conditions!
