Last night before we went to bed, me and the hubby voted that if the snow total wasn't that outrageous in the morning when we got up, that we would just leave it, and at the end of the day we would do the cleanup after we got home from work.
During the night, we heard the plow come and go a few times.
We did the usual tossing and turning that this winter has brought to a lot of folks.
When it was time to get up and get a move on, we voted. Drive through it and clear it at the end of the day.
Off he went.
As I got ready, loaded my car and was about to leave, I could hear an engine of sorts right outside my garage door. I looked out and saw my old timer neighbor snow blowing our driveway!
How embarrassing!
I went out to ask him what he was doing, and of course to thank him. His reply was that he just liked to keep busy, and by keeping moving he keeps moving. I agree with that attitude. I hope I continue to keep moving, too! He will be getting a Dunkin Donuts gift card tomorrow morning so he can enjoy a hot cup 'o joe with his friends ~ on us ~ very thankful neighbors!
I am a Putnamaniac that was embarrassed and thankful all at the same time!
