Mailbox Baseball - my dad actually had a good solution!

Smashed mailboxes are not an uncommon sight in Everytown, USA.

Kids can't seem to resist playing mailbox baseball.

Snowplows hit them in the winter.

Cars crash into them by accident.

My dad actually had a great solution to this problem.

He would take his mailbox out every morning and bungee cord it to the base on the post.

He would come home every afternoon, and not only bring in his mail, but the whole mail box.

I'm not sure I can credit my dad with a lot of great ideas (other than marrying an outstanding lady), but he gets kudos for this idea!

I am a Putnamaniac because my dad had a great solution for extending his mail box's life!
