Relay Raffle Revelling!

Relay for Life is a well known organization.

Recently a Relay was held in Plainfield, CT, with tons of participants.

I am always disapppointed when I can't attend or particpate in such inspirational events, but there are only so many hours each day.

My way of joining in and supporting was to buy some raffle tickets for a variety of gift baskets from my friend, an employee of Jewett City Savings Bank.

There were great choices, and I got tickets with certain people in mind if I actually won....
(I don't usually win anything, so I didn't tell these friends about the raffles)...
Some of the choices were:
*A golf outing basket - that ticket was for my golf loving coworker and his girlfriend in mind!
*A kids' bike basket - I know a little boy that was going to get that one!
*A weekend at a cabin at a local campground - that prize would be perfect for a family I just love!

Guess what????

I WON!!!

The weekend at the cabin will be enjoyed by a fantastic family, and I was so thrilled to win it!

Lesson learned (even though I already knew it) - it is easy to win when you are thinking of others.
