Lassie - a beautiful dog that made us cry every Sunday night!

Dawleyville was quite an interesting place to grow up in, for many reasons.

An oft repeated routine occurred on our Sunday nights.

This consisted of me & my little brother Skee watching the Wonderful World of Disney and then Lassie.

Lassie never failed to make us cry our eyes out! Mom would sweep us away from the TV and go through the whole explanation of how Lassie was simply a TV show, and that it was all pretend...just to entertain us. She assured us that next week Lassie would return home and everything would be fine for both the dog and his boy, Timmy.

So, we sobered up, enjoyed our week, and the next Sunday night, the entire process repeated all over again! (We were into "repeats" before we even knew what they were)! We were such saps for a couple of little kids.
