This day is added to the calendar in leap years as a corrective measure, because the earth does not orbit around the sun in precisely 365 days. Who figured that out???
The reason I love Leap Year is because some folk traditions dictate that a woman may ask a man to marry in a leap year, some traditions are more specifically for Leap Day.
Watch out you single guys... Leap Day begins in approximately five hours... tick, tock...
I am a Putnamaniac ready for Leap Year and all the single men that come with it!!!
