Love the one you're with - yourself... now I get it!

I'm not the brightest bulb nor very good at finding the deeper meaning of things.

I am black and white, not gray.

In school, when you had to read poems, and then explain what the author was conveying when they wrote "the ball was laying in the snow"...I failed miserably. To me, it meant that the ball was laying in the snow.

Say what you mean - give me no clues - I am not a detective for goodness sake!

However, occasionally a light bulb goes off and brightens my dimness if but for a moment.

Listening to the song "Love the One You're With" for the gazillionth time today, it occurred to me that this song's meaning is that you should love yourself. Considering that you are always with yourself, this now makes perfect sense to me.

So, be sure to love yourself every day.

I am a Putnamaniac that works hard every day to love the one I'm with - myself!
