My friend Kristin grows purple flowers.....dragging the line....feeling fine ~ at Fort Hill Farms!

A musical blast from the past was enjoyed in the trek home tonight!
...Dragging the Line by Tommy James (see & listen here on youtube).

It made me think of my friend, Kristin Orr, who owns, runs, sweats & breaths life into Fort Hill Farms! My friend, Kristin, grows purple flowers ~ (and she eats them in ice cream she makes with them, and drinks them in tea she makes with them, bathes with the soap she makes of them)....

This lovely purple flower I speak of is lavender...

You can "like" Fort Hill Farms on Facebook, or visit in person at 260 Quaddick Rd, Thompson, CT (just off Rt 44 coming in from RI).

When you get there, please sing this song to Kristin... I dare you! She will reward you with a gigantic smile and the warmest welcome you can ever imagine!

Makin' a living the old hard way
Takin' and giving by day by day
I dig snow and rain and bright sunshine
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
My friend Kristin grows purple flowers
We ain't got much but what we got's ours
We dig snow and rain and bright sunshine
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)

I feel fine I'm talkin' bout peace of mind
I'm gonna take my time I'm gettin' the good sign
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)

Loving the free and feelin' spirit
Of huggin' a tree when you get near it
Diggin' the snow and rain and bright sunshine
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
I feel fine I'm talkin' bout peace of mind
I'm gonna take my time I'm gettin' the good sign

I am a Putnamaniac that loves feeling fine at Fort Hill Farms!
