Runnin' down a dream.... to be surrounded by only the best!

Tom Petty is one of my favorite performers... and the song "Running Down a Dream" has been in my head all day long.

Like most folks, I set goals and have been running down dreams forever and always.
A lifetime goal is to surround myself with great, uplifting, positive people. People that I am tickled pink to see, no matter what the circumstances. People that love and appreciate life, even when it is giving them a run for their money.

Every day of my life is proof positive that I have succeeded handily in achieving this goal and have run down this dream. Everyone that I know is amazing. I hope they all know it.

I saw a ton of friends that I have known for years today, and although I don't get to see them often, it is like 30+ years has not passed, but perhaps only 30+ minutes. They are all as fabulous now as they have always been. Thank goodness some things never change!

Here is a shot of the same couple, married for many years now, finishing the NK5K together as leaders of Team Marissa. Their story is amazing, as are all my friends' stories.

I might not be good at much, but I am GREAT at picking good friends!

I will keep running down that dream till I am no more.
