Eagle Survey Saturday!

This Saturday, January 12, 2013 is the Mid Winter Eagle Survey.

We are going to take a survey and ask as many eagles as we can find how they like living or visiting The Last Green Valley.

Hello Handsome ~ Come here often?

Well, not exactly... but volunteers throughout The Last Green Valley are going to gather information for the CT DEEP.

I will be on the Putnam Quinebaug River team, and I am pretty excited, because...
In fact I know a few friends that have spotted eagles in this very location rather recently.
In fact, our team leader has spotted them on the Quinebaug twice in the last few days.
In fact, one of the volunteers on our team has also spotted them from her yard, just up the hill from the Quinebaug.

Imagine being able to spot a magnificent creature like this, when not so long ago, extinction was their next step.

Here are some simple facts about bald eagles.

Wish me luck! And if you are interested in such fun things, consider becoming a member and volunteer ranger for The Last Green Valley! It is where we live, and love to have fun!

I am a Putnamaniac that can't wait to do some surveying of eagles this Saturday!
