Elementary School Days

Today I was driving through New London, CT and passed an elementary school at recess time.

This elementary school is in the middle of asphalt land, not like the old Davisville Elementary School (in RI) that I had the pleasure to attend!

(here is a relatively recent shot of the Davisville Elementary School, which is now sadly closed down... you know are old when your elementary school is no more...)

BUT, the New London kids were still out and having a blast!
There were two little girls skipping and holding hands...

There were a bunch of boys kicking a ball and running around like crazy...

Sometimes when you are a grown up for a long time, you forget how nice and innocent kids can still be. And you also forget how much fun you had yourself as a kid.

What a nice reminder I had today, just by driving by an elementary school at recess time.

Keep your eyes and mind open folks. Don't forget the days when skipping at recess with your bestest friend in the whole wide world was just the tops!

I am a Putnamaniac that loves to remember those easy days of childhood!
