Fall is most definitely in the air - crisp/chilly temps, scarecrows out and about, apple picking, shorter days, and leaves falling everywhere.
I'm not sure if a lot of towns pick up the leaves from the sidewalks and curbs, but Putnam does!
It is pretty cool and a great service.
Folks rake their leaves to the street, and the town comes by with a big vacuumey/shreader type machine behind their truck. Town employees rake into the chute, and the leaves disappear, just like that! And they do it so quickly!!!
Just another great service from a great town, and great work from their employees.
I am a Putnamaniac that has fallen in love with her town and will never leave!
