One of the most fun things about Putnam's First Fridays is loading up my car!
Seriously! It fills me with the anticipation of whom and what I will get to see at this great community event.
Since I volunteer at each First Friday (held on the First Friday of every month from May through October in downtown Putnam) for The Last Green Valley, I need to load my car up with TLGV's display, table, printed materials such as Guides, Maps, Annual Reports, etc.
Since we also offer FREE craft fun for the kids on each First Friday, I also need to load those materials up.
Tonight we are making pine cone animals!!! I must admit, I made a few myself last night. Good times!!!
So this morning I loaded up my car with the usual display items, plus lots of feathers, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, glue.... and I almost pulled out of the garage without the most important ingredient for the craft.... the pail of pinecones!
I hope to see you at First Friday tonight. Remember there are only 3 more left before the season is over:
Tonight, Friday, August 2
Friday, September 6
Friday, October 4
